Text size

BEVERLY - Arthur E. Lederman, 72, beloved husband of Sara A. Lederman passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, November 20, 2017.

Born in Beverly, he was the son of Benjamin Lederman and Jane (Wurch) Lederman. He attended Shore Country Day School, Graduated from Blair Academy, Blairstown, NJ. He continued his education at New York University and Columbia where he majored in Asian Religions and Philosophy. He graduated from Boston University while working on his PhD. He taught Philosophy and The New Testament at Boston University.

Arthur possessed a magnetic way of communicating with people. He disliked emails and texting. He felt it was too impersonal. Language, wit and brilliance, and the great ability for joke telling personified him. He brought joy to all who knew him, and he will be missed by so many friends far and near.

In addition to his wife Sara with whom he shared 35 years of marriage, Arthur is survived by his step-daughter Shellie Walsh of Beverly.
