Arrangements have been entrusted to Bailey & Foster Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held in Houston late February, (date and place to be determined).
Mr. Johnson passed away Friday, February 9, 2018 in Katy, Tx. He was born July 9, 1937 in Anderson County to Acey Morris Johnson and Ila Marie Brasfield Johnson. Bob grew up in Anderson County with his two brothers and two sisters. He continued his education at Henderson County Junior College in Athens, TX. then went to Sam Houston State University. He met his wife Jeannette Hughes, at Sam Houston State University, and they enjoyed 58 years of married life together. They had two daughters Donna K. Rackel, married to William R. Rackel II (Billy) and Michele L. Johnson. They had two grandchildren William R. Rackel III (Trey) married to Sarah A. Rackel and Amanda M. Rackel engaged to Cory A. Shuman. Trey and Amanda were his pride and joy. He had just found out that he was going to be a Great Grandfather to a baby boy (due August 2018). He was so excited for Trey and Sarah. He loved playing golf several times a week, especially with his grandson. He will be greatly missed, but he left behind so many good stories.
