Carolyn's Story

Carolyn E. Hershberger, 78, of North Webster, died Friday, Nov. 10, at Goshen Hospital
She was born Oct. 18, 1939, in Goshen, to Andrew and Isabelle (Polmateer) Hunsperger.
On Feb. 16, 1957, she married Chester "Chet" Hershberger in Goshen.
He survives along with a son, Jim (Patsy) Hershberger, Goshen; two sisters, Phyllis Rohrer and twin sister, Catherine Myers, both of Nappanee; and special friend, June Wild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Bruce Hershberger and two sisters, Theda Wassman and Miriam White.
A lifelong Goshen resident until 1999, Mrs. Hershberger worked at Switches.
A past member of Women of the Moose, Carolyn enjoyed fishing, flower-gardening, bird-watching, playing euchre and baking. She was known for her immaculate housekeeping habits.
Calling was Monday, Nov. 13, from 5 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the 1 p.m. service Tuesday, Nov. 14, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen. Pastor Don Rohrer, Nappanee Missionary Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow at Union Center Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Goshen Cancer Center or Nappanee Missionary Church.
