Charles C. Weekes, 50, of Jackson Center, passed away at 9:32 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017, in St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown, Ohio, from injuries he received in an automobile accident at about 7:30 a.m. Thursday in Mercer.
He was born June 20, 1967, in Cleveland, to Ronald V. and Barbara J. Barrone Weekes and raised by his mother and stepfather Max Lightcap.
He was a 1986 graduate of Blacklick Valley High School, Nanty Glo, Pa.
In his earlier years, he worked in the Poconos where he met his bride-to-be, Tina L. Teets, whom he married June 11, 1988. They moved back to this area and he began working at Wal-Mart in Hermitage in 1991 and was currently there for more than 26 years as a customer service representative.
Charles was of the protestant faith and was an avid Steelers fan.
He was a family man in every sense. When he wasn't at work, he was with his family and especially loved being with his little grandson "LJ," whom he adored. Charles also continued to mourn the loss of his daughter Courtney, who died unexpectedly in March of this year.
He survived by his wife Tina, at home; grandson, Lester J. "LJ" Baker; and son-in-law, Lawrence D. "Lorney" Baker, all of Jackson Center. He is also survived by five brothers: Donald (Johanna) Weekes and Maxim Weekes, all of Flinton, John Weekes and Matthew (Connie) Weekes, all of Nanty Glo, and Dwayne (Pam) Weekes, of Cummings, Ga.
He was preceded in death by his father; mother; stepfather; a daughter, Courtney N. Baker; and a brother, Ronald Weekes.
