Charlotte Audrey Bickford, age 75, went to be with the Lord peacefully at her home in Bangor, Me on November 08,2017. Charlotte was the daughter of the late Raymond and Arlene Hunter, born in Caribou,Me. on July 7th,1942. She was proceeded in death by her beloved husband (the love of her life) Frank Bickford.
Charlotte is survived by her 3 daughters, Sherry D Hardy (South Carolina), Catherine M. Walsh (Bangor, Me.), Lessie F. Desjardins and her husband (Boom) Adolph J Desjardins (Eddington, Me); Her 3 sons, Frank J Kernan (Glenburn, Me.), James L. Kernan (Glenburn, Me.), Mark A. Kernan (Caribou,Me.); her 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She leaves behind a sister Raylene King and her husband John King (Durham, N.C.) and a brother, Gary Hunter and his wife Patty Hunter(Brunswick, Me.); many nieces and nephews; and many close friends along with her church family.
Charlotte was devoted to her family,and her lord. She was an active member of the Church Of God-a worldwide association for many years and she loved spending time with her church family. Charlotte was very creative in many ways. She loved to paint, draw, make her own cards, crochet and knit,and write poems. Many of these poems have been published. She was always smiling and had a great since of humor, even through her sickness and pain. She truly could light up a room with her smile that came from her heart. She was always giving to others and saw the good in everyone she came in contact with and the lives she has touched.
The family wishes to thank and acknowledge the love and care Charlotte received from the staff at E.M.H.S. Supportive Care team; V.N.A.; E.I.M.;and Caring Companions. They especially want to thank Lisa(her girl) who was more then a helper. She became Charlotte's friend and was loved dearly by Charlotte.
There will be a Celebration of Life service at the Bangor House, where Charlotte resided, on July 7th, 2018 at 3 p.m. Everyone who was touched by Charlotte's life and love may attend.
