Charlotte's Story

Text size

Charlotte Davis, 90, born in 1927, went to meet her Savior, surrounded by her loving family, on Jan. 6, 2018. She was blessed with three children, 11 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren, who all loved her very much.
Her bright blue eyes shone when she spoke of her family's heritage. She had a fierce love for her family and her home state of Oklahoma. Don't mess with her Sooners either, as some of us found out the hard way.
Charlotte sacrificed all for her family. She would have given you the shirt off her back. Her generous nature shone through her gifts, her amazing cards and letters written with care and purpose.
Grandy, as many called her, had a witty way with words. She was full of wit and vigor, so quick with a comeback and just naturally funny. She could turn anyone's mood around with compliments and flattery. Some might say that her sweet words were fueled by her fierce sweet tooth!
Her special smiles, her caring heart and warm embrace will always be remembered along with baking the best Sheet cake ever! Through the good and the bad, she was always there for us. Just looking into her blue eyes, we found hope and courage and her deep faith in Jesus.
She would want us to know, "I fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." She is trusting each of us to do the same and one day, "When we all get to heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be. When we all see Jesus, we'll sing and shout the victory!"
A private interment will take place at the Mount Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home. We invite you to send a message of condolence and view the family's guestbook at www.stufflebeanfuneralhome.com.
