Clara Belle Clark, 94, of Titusville, and formerly of Meadville, died on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Titusville Health Care and Rehabilitation.
She was born August 10, 1923 in Corry, Pa., a daughter of the late Frank P. and Carola Smith Hutchinson.
Clara was raised and educated in Union City, Pa., graduating from Union City High School in 1942. She worked for the GC Murphy Company as a clerk prior to WWII. During the war, she worked as a machinist at Aero Supply Company for 2 years. She then married and stayed home to raise and care for her family, and work on the family farm. In 1973, she moved to Meadville, Pa., and worked at the Mead Nursing Home (Beverly Health Care) as a cook and nurses assistant. She retired from there in 1985. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and reading.
In addition to her parents, Clara was preceded in death by her first husband Clayton B. Scouten and her second husband Ralph Clark; a sister, Josephine Estes; three brothers, Clarence, Herbert and Leslie Hutchinson; a grandson Adam Scouten and two great-grandsons, Axel Phelps and Kyle Wade.
Clara is survived by two daughters, Jill Miller and her husband Matthew of Titusville, Pa. and Cheryl Weagraff and her husband Fred of Germany; two step daughters, Donna Reese and her husband Roy of Greensburg, Pa., and Mary Reed and her husband Ronald of Meadville, Pa.; a son, James Scouten and his wife Corinne of Corry, Pa.; and a brother-in-law, Virgil Estes of Centerville, Pa.
Also surviving are eight grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Family and Friends may call at the Bracken Funeral Home, Inc., 315 N. Center St., Corry, Pa., on Monday from 12 noon until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. Rev. Mark Rusnak will officiate.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Spartansburg, Pa.
