Donald Charles Johnson, 76, of Fairfield Glade, TN, passed away Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, at Cumberland Medical Center.
He was born May 13, 1941, in Eagle River, WI, son of Arnold and Mary Berndt, and adopted by the late Ted Johnson and Maude (Drewe) in 1953 and moved to Marinette, WI.
He worked as a national sales manager in the auto after-market industry and attended St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. After Don "retired" to Fairfield Glade, he worked at St. George marina doing cruises and handling food concessions for the Monday Night Blast. He also mowed greens at Heatherhurst and did airport shuttle runs for Anderson Shuttle Service. Don was happy when he was busy and with other people.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Johnson, Fairfield Glade; sons, Jeff (Audrey) Johnson of Clearwater, FL, and Greg (Carolyn) Johnson of Atlanta, GA; grandson, Chase Johnson, Atlanta, GA; and sister, Esther (Buzz) Bellmore, Green Bay, WI.
In addition to his natural parents and adopted parents, Don was preceded in death by his brother Arnold and sisters Helen, Alice and Dorothy.
Memorial services were held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018, at 10 a.m. with Fr. Albert Sescon officiating.
