Donald R.'s Story
Donald R. Shea, 55, passed away November 13, 2017, after a long illness at High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill.
Born in Biddeford, Maine, he was the son of Romaine (Emilio) Shea of Haverhill and the late Deputy Donald “Jake” J. Shea. Raised and educated in Haverhill, he was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1979. He went on to study at Northern Essex Community College where he obtained an Associate’s Degree. Donald was employed as an X-Ray Technician, working at various hospitals throughout the Merrimack Valley area. He was an avid antique collector and he had a great collection of LP albums and guitars. Donald will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his loving mother, Romaine, he is survived by his sister, Jane E. Yerrington and her husband, Ernest of Manchester, N.H.; niece and nephew, Abby Shea Yerrington and Preston D. Yerrington. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his sister, Lisa M. Shea.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, November 16, from 5 until 7 p.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Funeral services will begin on Friday morning at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 12 Noon in St. James Church, Winter Street, Haverhill. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Primrose Street, Haverhill. Donations may be made in his memory to Liz Murphy Open Hand Pantry, 6 Cottage Street, Haverhill.
