Dorothy Stock Connor, 100, died on November 11, 2017. She was born in Camden, NJ, on June 13, 1917, daughter of William Conrad and Augusta Fredericka (Sieber) Stock. She was the seventh of nine brothers and sisters, all predeceased; four brothers, William, Raymond, twins, Charles and Harry; four sisters, Viola Slim, Edna Ewing, Marion DiFilipo and Mildred Knoferl.
Dorothy graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School, in Camden, NJ, in 1936, and Phila College of the Bible in 1939. She worked at a bakery, Esterbrook Pen Co., RCA during WWII, and JC Penney, and then was a stay-at-home mom. Dorothy was a member of Pilgrim Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Bangor.
She is survived by a son, Paul and wife, Debbie of Mariaville; daughter, Christine of Otis; she is grandmother to Kellie (Todd) Applebee, Steven (Olga) Connor, Jamie (Matt) Johnson; great-grandmother to Mattthew, Haylie Blackmer, Alex Applebee, Nathan Johnson and Matvey Connor. She was predeceased by her husband, Herbert, and daughter, Deborah.
Calling hours will be held 10:00-11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth, with a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Russell Hamilton officiating. A reception will follow the service. Interment will be in Otis Cemetery.
