VESTAVIA HILLS, AL. -- Dorothy Mae Barhite King, 87, of Vestavia Hills, AL., formerly of Moultrie, Ga., died Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Aspire Physical Recovery Center at Cahaba River.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with Bishop Chris Watts officiating.
Interment will follow in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.
Casketbearers will be Paul Reynolds, James Bryant, Vince Sellers, Dan Sellers, Sam Sellers and Paul Sellers.
Born December 31, 1929 in Lake Placid, Fla., she was the daughter of the late Willard Horace Barhite Sr. and Nancy Jane Crum Barhite. Mrs. King retired from The City of Moultrie as a receptionist and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband and father to her two daughters, Harmon C. Parham; second husband, David Wilbur King; brother, Willard Horace Barhite Jr.
Survivors include two daughters, Carole Reynolds and husband Paul of Vestavia Hills, AL., Linda Bryant and husband James of Aberdeen, MD.; two grandchildren, Heather Bryant Miene and Donovan Bryant both of Aberdeen, MD.; sister, Nellie Sellers of Orlando, FL.; sister in law, Lorena Chambers Barhite; two nieces, five nephews, two step-daughters, two step-sons and other family members.
The family will receive friends from 10:00AM-10:45AM Saturday at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
