Harlan's Story

Harlan Foster was born April 12, 1936 in Wayne County, the son of the late John and Minnie Shelton Foster, he departed this life
Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the Golden Years Nursing Home in
Monticello reaching the age of 81 years.
On December 18, 1954 he united in marriage with Faye Brewster Foster who survives.
To this 62-year union four children surviveShirley Joan Smith
(Carl), Elizabeth Ann Foster, Harlan Ward Foster (Sue), and Raymond Wayne Foster(Margret).
He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren to mourn his passing.
He was a very hard worker and spent many years in the timber
business. He had accepted Christ as his savior on October 16, 1991
and was later baptized on October 20, 1991.
As long as his health would allow he was a member at the Missouri Hollow Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2017 with Bro. Jimmy Decker officiating. Burial was in the Grant Roberts
Cemetery.
Hickey and Son Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
