Funeral Services for Jerry Cecil Lairsey, 70, of Thomasville will be held Sunday, January 14, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Patten Holiness Church, the Rev. Mack Luke, Greg Player, and Michael Lairsey officiating, interment following at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Chip Panell and Skip Van Nus officiating. Active pallbearers will be Ed Smith, Jeff McLeod, Clint Everett, Shawn Smith, Joshua Marshburn and Jeffery Marshburn. Mr. Lairsey was born June 15, 1947 to the late Cecil Mac Lairsey and Hazel Janette Lairsey in Alma, GA. A high school graduate, he entered the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam and worked in construction until becoming disabled. He married Mary Tucker in Thomasville on December 27, 1996. Mr. Lairsey passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at his residence. He is survived by three daughters, Amy L. Smith and Edward, April Michelle McLeod and Jeff, Cheyenne Nicole Lairsey and Clint Everett all of Thomasville, grandchildren, Barbara Lynn Smith, Shawn Perry Smith, Jeffery Ray Marshburn, Joshua James Marshburn, Layla Jayde Youmans all of Thomasville, great grandchildren, Tasha Nichole Chaney, Christopher edward Allen Bennett, and Nolan Brandon Bennett all of Thomasville, siblings and in-laws, Kenneth Andrew Lairsey and Janet Spradlin, David Allen Lairsey both of Thomasville, Michael Anthony and Kris Lairsey of Sidel, LA, Kathy and Chip Panell of Dallas, TX, Janice and Ronald Rollins of Ochlocknee, Ruth Ridgen of Fayetteville, NC, and Sally and Frank Donaldson of Thomasville, his two ex-wives Barbara A. Smith and Martha Ansley, several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Jeffery Earl Lairsey.
