Jerry Westmoreland, 75, died at Clark County Hospital on Friday, November 10, 2017. He was retired from the Greater Clark County Schools and the founder of Jerry's Place Recovery Home, where he personally helped hundreds overcome substance abuse and addiction.
He is survived by son Richard Westmoreland, his wife Laverne, and daughter Iris, of New Orleans, LA; son Phillip Westmoreland and daughter Melissa, of Seattle, WA.; sisters Mildred Sneed, Ruby Willis, Jean Foley and Helen Joyce Hayes, all of Louisville, KY.; and two granddaughters, Melissa, and Iris.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents James Westmoreland and Stella Westmoreland.
Memorial service will be held Friday, November 17, 2017 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church at 2402 E. 10th Street in Jeffersonville. Visitation begins at First Baptist at 12:00 p.m. E.M. Coots' Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
