Johnny Jaskot, 60, of Hampstead, NH, a much loved, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend. Johnny died while vacationing in Jamaica on December 14, 2017.
Johnny was born in Lawrence and graduated from Central Catholic High School. He achieved his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Wentworth Institute of Boston. He was recruited by TRW in Los Angeles after his graduation and was an engineer on their satellite program for several years.
Driven by a strong entrepreneurial spirit Johnny later returned to Boston and launched his own multi-media consulting and web design company, Babblefish. His company also launched Babblefish.com, a successful and popular translation site. He proudly held several patents for his inventions.
Johnny had an incredible quick wit and a great sense of humor. He lived his life focused around his passion for inventing and creating, building web sites, writing music and playing his guitar. He had a great love for nature and the outdoors and his perfect day was at the beach or on the water, fishing with his close friends (his cherished brotherhood.) His favorite pastime was taking his Harley Davidson for a ride or restoring his Classic Porsche. After his recent retirement he discovered a joy in traveling and seeing new places. Johnny never had children and his succession of cherished dogs gave him infinite joy. He could frequently be seen driving around town with his goofy sheepdog, Boss, by his side.
Johnny is survived by his sister, Nina Harrison, and several relatives, cousins, aunts, uncle and numerous and close friends. He was pre-deceased by his parents, John and Anita (Dandreta) Jaskot. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
ARRANGEMENTS - A celebration of his life will be planned for a later date. Donations in his name can be made at the MSPCA, www.MSPCA.org. Please see Johnny's Permanent Online Memorial with Guestbook at www.LaurinFuneralHome.com
