Joyce (Cooper) Conrad, 82, after bravely struggling with Multiple Myeloma cancer for nearly six years, succumbed to Breast Cancer on December 6, 2017 and has now gone to her Heavenly Home. She is now free of the pain and suffering she endured for over six years. She was employed by the Southside Times Newspaper, formerly The Perry Township Weekly, in Beech Grove, IN for over 21 years, as Office Manager and columnist, first writing a travel column, then a food column until her retirement in 2007. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Greenwood, IN. She was born in New Albany, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ethel, father Claude, and two brothers, Ronnie and David.
She is survived by her husband Russell, two sons, Kevin (Angela) and Kelly (Lucia), sister Claudia (Donnie), brother Michael (Donna), four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be from 3-8 PM Friday at the Market Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes (1119 E. Market St., New Albany, IN)
Her funeral service will be held at 10 AM Saturday in the Market Street Chapel with burial in Wolfe Cemetery, Georgetown, Indiana. Expressions of sympathy may be made in Joyces name to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (383 Main Ave., 5th Floor, Norwalk, CT 06851).
