Kathy J. Bingaman, 61, of Kreamer, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018.
Kathy was born Oct. 19, 1956, in Sunbury, a daughter of Paul T. Freed, of Freeburg, and Virginia E. (Reichenbach) Freed, of Port Trevorton.
She attended Middleburg High School and was formerly employed at Middleburg Yarn, Selinsgrove Center, and Penn Village.
Kathy was known as a people person and loved making primitive crafts, decorating for holidays, and watching wildlife. She loved her puppy "Abby".
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her two sons, Thomas R. Bingaman, of Sunbury and Ryan M. Bingaman and his wife Tracy, of Northumberland; two grandsons, Hunter and Brayden Bingaman; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Troy and Tammy Freed, of Penns Creek and Jeffrey and Beatrice Freed, of Freeburg; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Debbie and Wayne Henry, of Globe Mills, Teresa and Bruce Snyder, of Selinsgrove, and Denise Longacre, of Hummels Wharf; her companion, Bob Knepp, of Kreamer; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to the memorial service at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, at the Freeburg United Methodist Church with Pastor Cindy Gunter officiating.
Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Freeburg, followed by a luncheon at the Freeburg Fire Company.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in loving memory of Kathy to Mostly Mutts, 284 Little Mountain Road, Sunbury, PA 17801.
The George P. Garman Funeral Homes, Inc., 9366 Route 35, Mount Pleasant Mills, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
