LAKE SHAWNEE - Kenneth Lawson, 65, of Lake Shawnee died Sunday, February 11, 2018. Born July 8, 1952 at Princeton he was the son of the late Ross Lawson and Arweda Nicholson Lawson.
Kenneth was of the Baptist faith. He was a coal miner for 20 years having worked at Turkey Gap and Amonate. He was the owner and operator of Lawson Excavating for 27 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, four wheelers and motorcycle riding.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by infant twin daughters, Sharon and Karen; two sisters, Janice Earnest and Patricia Wasmer.
Survivors include his wife, Glenda Young Lawson; three sons, Kevin Lawson and wife Angela of Lake Shawnee, Eric Lawson of Lashmeet, and David Lawson of Lake Shawnee; one sister, Brenda Ernest of Princeton; one brother, Michael Walker of Lashmeet; seven grandchildren whom he loved dearly, Eric and wife Amber, Kodey, Kailyn, Olivia, Bradley, Kameron, and Karma.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at the Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Chapel with Rev. Anthony Shrewsbury officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Sons and grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
