Leroy Reaser, 70, of Fairmont, passed away in his home on Dec. 6, 2017.
He was born in Lorain, Ohio, on July 17, 1947, one of 14 children born to the late John and Velma (Beall) Reaser.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty Lou (VanGilder) Reaser, in October of 2016. The couple were married in 1997.
Leroy joined the Army in 1971, and was stationed in Germany. After his honorable discharge in 1973, he went to work for the Ford Motor Co., where he retired after 30 years of service. He enjoyed the peace and serenity of West Virginia, and was associated with Victory Baptist Church in Fairmont.
He is survived by his stepson, Rodney Stone and wife Glenda of Grafton, Ohio; grandchildren, Brittany Preston USMC, Kayla Stone, Kim Stone and Bryan Stone; six siblings; many nieces, nephews and his late wife's family.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Ronnie VanGilder and Donna Tennant, for their kindness and compassion in caring for Leroy.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Mount Zion Cemetery with Pastor Nathan Barker officiating; friends and family are invited to meet at 9 a.m. at the Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant St., Fairmont, to travel in procession to the cemetery.
