Margaret Catherine Tingle's Story

Margaret Catherine Tingle Marshall, 95, from the Longtown community near Harrison passed away Nov. 11, 2017, in Milledgeville after an extended illness.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday, Nov. 14 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in the Harrison and Pringle Community, 5002 Bartow-Dublin Road, Wrightsville, 31096 with burial in the church cemetery. The Revs. Scott Osborne and Chad Waller will officiate. Family and friends will gather at the church from 1 o'clock until the hour of service.
Active pallbearers will be Mike Kellar, Nathan Smith, Steve Smith, Stuart Strange, Jay Strickland and Gary Waller.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Bateman Sr., Theron Lane, Forrest Price, Carlton Tingle, Curtis Tingle, Earl Tingle, Jimmy Tingle and Phillip Waller.
Mrs. Marshall was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Thomas Marshall Jr. (B.T.); her parents, James Harvey Tingle and Clyde Bell Tingle; her brothers, James Thomas Tingle Sr., Andrew Jackson Tingle, and James Harvey Tingle Jr.; her sisters, Marthalene Tingle Jones, Miriam Lee Tingle Page and Anna Lois Tingle Smith. She was a homemaker and retired from Apparelcraft. She was an active member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where she formerly taught Sunday School, and formerly led VBS and Young At Heart.
Mrs. Marshall is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Kaye Marshall of Milledgeville and her "granddaughter," Abigail, her sister- in-law, Mrs. Lessie M. Meeks of Gray and brother-in-law, Bobby Marshall of Mooresville, N.C. as well as her many beloved nieces and nephews and their families.
The family suggests that donations may be made to the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery Fund for the preservation and upkeep of the cemetery, c/o Ms. Debra Josey, 508 Anthony Drive, Sandersville, Ga. 31082.
