Marie R. Oyster, 71, of Edison Avenue, Sunbury, passed away at the Sunbury Community Hospital on Jan. 13, 2018.
She was born Jan. 31, 1946, in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late Bruce and Edna Feese. On May 16, 1966, she married the Rev. Warren B. Oyster who preceded her in death on Nov. 11, 2005.
She was a graduate of Mifflinburg High School.
Marie was a wife and mother who also worked in textile shops, Middleburg Yarn for 28 years, and other local factories.
She loved various sports rooting for Penn State, the Seattle Seahawks, and Richard Petty.
She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Kenneth E. Oyster and Robert W. and Beverly Oyster, all of Sunbury; one daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Richard Rearden, of Selinsgrove; three grandchildren, Christine, Matthew and Becky; one brother, Robert Feese, of Washingtonville; one niece, Tina; and two nephews, David and Jeremy.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and grandson, Benjamin.
Friends and family may visit from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the David T. Zweier Funeral Home Inc., 157 Chestnut St., Sunbury, where the funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, with the Rev. Danny Brubaker officiating.
Interment will follow in Hartleton Cemetery.
