Minnie F. Feagan, of Galena, Kan., died Jan. 9, 2018 at Tidwell Living Center, in Wilburton, Okla., at the age of 97.
Services will be at Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13th. Burial will follow at Gandy Cemetery, Galena. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12th, at the funeral home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Jones-Harkins Funeral Home, of Wilburton, and Derfelt Funeral Home, of Galena.
Minnie was born July 11, 1920, in Newton County, Mo., to James Newt Gandy and Josephine (Sturgis) Gandy.
Minnie married Viron Harrison Feagan on Jan. 5, 1937.
Minnie owned and operated Feagan Grocery before working as a real estate agent, in Joplin, Mo.
She is survived by daughter, Barbara Helmert, of Wilburton; son, Viron Timothy Feagan and wife, Martha, of Chase City, Va., daughter-in-law, Cindy Johnson; special nieces, Shirley and Florence Collins; and special friends, Don Means and Christopher Allen. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. Minnie was preceded in death by her husband, Viron Harrison Feagan; son, Dr. Jerry Harrison Feagan; grandchildren, Teresa Helmert, Jimmy Helmert, David Helmert, Bonnie Feagan and Keith Feagan; son-in-law, Jim D. Helmert; daughter-in-law, Rilla Feagan; parents, James and Josephine Gandy; mother and father-in-law, Harry and Vera Feagan.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Feagan, Kyle Magrini, Brandon Garvin, Christopher Allen, Zac Chavez, and Devon Weddle.
