Nancy J. Greely, 82, of Barrackville, passed away peacefully Monday (Feb. 12, 2018) while under the care of Fairmont Health and Rehab in Fairmont. She was born in Washington, Pennsylvania, on Aug. 31, 1935, the daughter of the late Joseph Sciascia and Mary (Deantonia) Sciascia.
She worked for Westinghouse/North American Philips as a lighting specialist for 29 years. She was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church in Fairmont. Nancy was an avid reader and enjoyed taking care of the home and loved caring for her flowers. She valued spending time with her family and friends. She will be remembered for having a big heart, giving spirit and for her generosity.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Rodger W. Greely; along with two brothers, Frank Peduti of Marianna, Pennsylvania, and Tony Sciascia of Marianna, Pennsylvania; and her sister, Rose Wotherspoon of Fairfax, Virginia.
She is survived by her three sons and their spouses, Randy L. Greely of Parrish, Florida, Roger N. Greely (Cindy) of Bolivia, North Carolina, and Stacy T. Greely (Beth) of Bridgeport; her grandson, Nicolas Greely; and her granddaughter, Taylor Greely.
Nancy's family wishes to thank her many caregivers over the years for their loving care.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 407 Jackson Street, Fairmont, with Father Joseph Konikattil as the celebrant. Committal services will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
