Owen Hugh's Story
SALEM, NH- Owen Hugh Poumakis, 31, of Salem, NH, died peacefully Thursday at Lawrence General Hospital, Lawrence.
Owen was born in San Leandro, Calif., grew up and was educated in Salem, NH at Salem Christian School, and graduated from Salem High School in 2005. He later graduated from Hesser College with an Associate degree in communications.
Owen was a lifelong resident of Salem, NH. He worked as a camera operator for the Town of Pelham.
Owen was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Margaret and Hugh "Papa" Doyle, Uncle Hugh "Scotty" Doyle, and his nana, Doris Brunelle.
He is survived by his parents, Gregory and Kathleen (Doyle) Poumakis of Salem, NH; sisters, Amanda and Tim Cestrone of Raymond, NH, and Megan and Matt Gaw of Salem, NH; brother, Daniel Poumakis of Salem, NH, paternal grandparents, Lou and Joan Poumakis of Boynton Beach, Fla., loving aunts and uncles, Madge Broderick of Andover, James Broderick of St. Petersburg, Fla., Jeanette Doyle of Everett, MA, and Michelle and Ed Brill of Boynton Beach, Fla.; nephews, Louis Cestrone and Cohen Gaw, His beloved labradoodle "Reba", Many loving cousins and extended family and friends.
Friends and relatives are invited to a memorial gathering on Sunday, Jan. 14th from 2 to 5 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Owen's life at 5 p.m. at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Rd, Windham, NH. A reception will immediately follow in the funeral home function hall.
