Mr. Russell Faxon, age 81, of Lebanon, Maine, died suddenly on September 25, 2017.
He was born on July 12, 1936, in Plaistow, N.H., where he resided for years with his mother, Elizabeth, and his father, Merle.
He served his country in the Navy from July of 1954 until he was honorably discharged in 1958.
He owned and ran his own well drilling company. Upon retiring he would reside in Florida in the winter and in Maine for the warmer months.
He is survived by his wife, Irene; eldest daughter, Shelly Desmarais and her partner, Kenny of Danville, N.H.; son, Mike Faxon of Titusville, Fla.; and youngest daughter, Jodi Dickens and husband, Steve of Derry, N.H.
He is also survived by many of his siblings including Merle Faxon, Dick Faxon, Faye Gerrish and Dave Faxon; as well
as grandchildren, Andrew Desmarais, Nicolette Tucker, Candace Higgins and Russell Clark.
He also leaves Irene’s daughter, Cathy Napier and her husband, Jim of Alfred, Maine, and son, Richard Hilton and his wife, Patricia of Kissimmee, Fla.
A memorial will be held at Goodwin Mills United Methodist Church in Lyman, Maine, on October 14 at 2 p.m.
