Ryan's Story

Ryan Scott Segar, 15, of Weatherford, passed away unexpectedly on Friday evening, February 9th, in Weatherford.
Funeral services celebrating his life will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, February 17, at Weatherford Senior High School, 2121 Bethel Rd, Weatherford. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 1 until 2, Saturday at the school. Burial will be private.
Ryan was born on October 15, 2002, in Wichita Falls, Texas to Jason Segar and Kristen Taylor. Ryan will be remembered by everyone for being 'everything'. He was very thoughtful, kind, loving, and adored by everyone. He 'never met a stranger' and 'didn't discriminate'. He always possessed an outgoing spirit to everybody he met. He was both artistic and musical, playing both saxophone and guitar. Ryan could also 'fix anything' including laptops and phones with his collection of spare parts. He had plans to become a mechanical engineer, was a Chess champion, and most of all, Ryan was loved by everyone who knew him.
Ryan is survived by his parents, Kristen Taylor, Jason and Kaylee Segar; brothers Corey Segar and Junior Rodriguez; his aunts Cara Vilardi, Brittney Vilardi, Celeste Edwards, Marie Loftin, and Gracy Taylor; uncles Anthony Taylor, Dylan Moreland, Cody Dixon, and Daniel Brooks; cousin Ava Roselli; maternal grandparents, John and Wanda Taylor, paternal grandparents, Ed and Monica Kieffer; step-grandparents, David Vilardi, Anna and Mario Duran, and Glenn and Dawn Edwards; Step-sisters, Esperanza, Alexandria, and Adriana Rodriguez, and Tina Rutledge.
Ryan was preceded in death by his stillborn brother, Brighton Vaughn Segar.
